{"id":2010,"date":"2018-08-28T09:36:04","date_gmt":"2018-08-28T14:36:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/technoscience.ca\/?page_id=2010"},"modified":"2026-02-04T15:45:09","modified_gmt":"2026-02-04T20:45:09","slug":"rules","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/technoscience.ca\/en\/expo-sciences\/tools-and-rules\/rules\/","title":{"rendered":"Rules"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1><span style=\"color: #004b7a;\">RULES<\/span><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whether experienced or simple student, any scientist must follow strict safety standards in his work as well as some operating rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The regulations of the Science Fairs are primarily intended to ensure your safety and that of the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #1eaacf;\">Failure to comply with Science Fair rules may result in team disqualification. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #1eaacf;\">It is therefore essential to read them carefully!<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-css-opacity has-background is-style-wide\" style=\"background-color:#f08e20;color:#f08e20\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">YOUR PROJECT MAY REQUIRE APPROVAL. HERE ARE THE THREE MAIN CASES:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If your project involves other human beings (e.g., filling out a questionnaire\/survey) or requires the collection of human biological tissue samples. Then you need an <a href=\"https:\/\/approbation.technoscience.ca\/\">ethics approval form<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If your project involves one or more biological samples from living beings, excluding human beings (animals, plants, microorganisms). Then you need a <a href=\"https:\/\/approbation.technoscience.ca\/\">biological material rules approval form<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If your project involves the use of hazardous chemicals or materials, such as flammable, corrosive, or other substances, then you need a <a href=\"https:\/\/approbation.technoscience.ca\/\">hazardous materials approval form<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These requests must be made <strong>BEFORE<\/strong> you begin your experiments and\/or tests.
