The purpose of this project is to develop an off-grid detection and filtration system for water. The 3 main aims for the current project are: (1) to create a sensitive system capable of detecting water borne microorganisms, (2) to determine which disinfection conditions are best to sterilize environmental water samples and (3) to develop a simple, scalable, cheap and sustainable portable disinfection system. By making clean water accessible through a device with easy setup, we could help the world one machine at a time.
