Secondary and Cegep Component
Ethics ands Rules Form
The Ethics Approval and Rules Form MUST be completed BEFORE the start of the experiment. In accordance with Article 2.4 of the rules, if a participant wishes to present the same topic in a second year, choosing to explore it in greater depth or present a follow-up, they must complete this form.
| Here is the information you MUST provide: o The name and contact information of your scientific supervisor; o The name, contact information and contribution of your scientific supervisor’s recognized institution; o Your research protocol; o Your project’s risk assessment; o ALL blank data collection tools (blank survey, observation checklists, etc.). |
CERTIFICATE OF APPROVAL – ETHICS REGARDING FREE AND INDIVIDUAL CONSENT OR CERTIFICATE OF APPROVAL – RULES
To obtain a Certificate of Approval – Ethics OR a Certificate of Approval – Rules, you must:
- Complete the Ethics and Rules Form;
- Respond to the Provincial Judging Committee’s email questions, if applicable;
- Wait until the Provincial Judging Committee finishes analysing your Ethics and Rules Form and issues the Certificate of Approval that corresponds to your project.
After completing these steps, you will receive an email with your most appropriate approval certificate. You must add it to your profile on the Technoscience Network registration platform BEFORE February 21.
Certificate of Approvals – Ethic
The Certificate of Approval – Ethicsc is issued by the Provincial Judging Committee following analysis of the Ethics Form. This Certificate of approval is also the Free and Individual Consent Form, which must be signed by all participants in your project. You must wait to receive the Certificate of Approval before starting to recruit your participants and beginning your experiment.
Certificate of Approval – Rules
The Certificate of Approval – Rules is issued by the Provincial Judging Committee following analysis of the Rules Form. You must wait to receive the Certificate of Approval before starting to recruit your participants and beginning your experiment.
The Certificate of Approval issued by the Réseau Technoscience must be uploaded during Online Registration.
Project – Second year form
In accordance with article 2.4 of the Regulations, if an exhibitor wishes to submit the same subject in a second year, while choosing to further explore the subject, he/she must complete this form.

Primary Component
Application Form for a Project certificate of approval
Approval and rules form MUST be obtained BEFORE the start of the experiment and BEFORE March 31.
For all primary school experiment projects, this form must be completed before the project is fully implemented.
To ensure that you have completed it correctly, please read the box below and the Regulations carefully.
