International finals

International finals

Quebec exhibitors on the international stage!

Currently, there are three competitions in which Quebec exhibitors participating in the regional finals of the Hydro-Québec Science Fair can participate.

1. MILSET international Science Fair

At the 2019 Edition of the Super Expo-sciences Hydro-Québec,  the Technoscience Network will select a delegation of young people to take part in the MILSET International Science Fair.

The ESI is an event organized by the International Movement for Scientific and Technical Leisure (MILSET). Held every two years, it welcomes hundreds of young people from Europe, Asia, North America and South America.

The International Science Fair is not a competition in itself, but a rich field of exchanges where openness to science and other cultures is privileged.

2019 edition

The MILSET 2019 International Science Fair took place from 22nd to 28th September 2019 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

2. Exposciences Auvergne

The Exposciences Auvergne invite young people to share for several days their discoveries and their experiences around a scientific and technical project. This is not a contest, but a pedagogical exchange!

In May 2018, 4 young people selected at the Super Expo-sciences Hydro-Québec, participated in this great event.

3. Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) – Team Canada

Every year, Youth Science Canada selects the projects of a dozen exhibitors who will be part of Team Canada, representing Canada at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).

Nearly 1,500 young people from 50 countries participate each year in this international finals on US soil, where hundreds of thousands of dollars in prizes are awarded.

Secondary 3, 4 and 5 exhibitors can submit their project. Note that all former exhibitors in the Canada-wide final or who have already participated in Intel ISEF receive a personalized invitation by email to submit their application.

The selection of candidates takes place in March and Youth Science Canada then takes care of coordinating the Canadian delegation to Intel ISEF.

Note that Intel ISEF finalists are unfortunately unable to compete in the Canada-wide final. However, they are still eligible to compete in the MILSET International Final.
